DC Registered Business: I have current business license registered with Washington, DC's Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. (DCRA) and am an LLC with professional liability insurance.
I am vaccinated against COVID-19. However, I continue following the CDC guidelines by wearing two, two-ply cloth masks, and using hand sanitizer frequently, especially between clients. I use different procedures for dogs and cats which are explained below.
As a former newspaper journalist, I read scientific sources to inform my safety protocols. As of this writing, no known Covid-19 death has resulted from a dog-to-human transmission. However, human-to-dog transmission has resulted in a few documented dog deaths. The CDC recommends that pet owners infected with the virus either isolate or have someone else take care of the animals.
Given these findings, I use my own leash, harness, and poop bags to walk your dog. If I am in your home, I remove my shoes, and disinfect any surfaces I have touched.
During dog walks, I do not allow dogs to interact with other people or dogs. Also I prohibit people from petting your dog. Since felines are more vulnerable to the virus, I wear masks and gloves during visits.
30-minute Dog Walk: $20* per dog walk. Add $5 for additional dog in the household. I take a holistic approach to your dog's walk allowing them time to sniff, engage their brain, while walking. I vary the walks through the neighborhood.
Cat Visits: $20* for a 30-minute. Add $2 for second cat. The visit includes changing their water, providing food, and cleaning the kitty litter. Play time and affection occurs after the chores and based on their interest and comfort.
Cancellation Policy: Recurring weekly walk clients can cancel by 4 p.m. prior to next day's walk without penalty. Occasional clients can cancel up to 24 hours prior to start to start of the reserved walk. Cancellation occurring less than 24 hours will be charged for the walk or visit.
Inclement Weather: No charge for inclement weather which is defined as weather posing a danger to myself or your pet.
*Extra fees may apply for location, weekends, holidays and extraordinary circumstances. Rates may change at any time.
Lisa exceeds my expectations every time! She walks [Oscar] five times a week, and she's the first person he's ever gone 'potty' for. She truly has a gift for animals, and her text update after each walk is the highlight of my day every time (especially when she includes photos!) --N.J. Glover Park
Lisa took our dogs on long walks, played, and interacted with them. I am blown away by the customer service we received, especially the patience and understanding shown by Lisa. I usually worry myself sick when I have to leave my dogs but with Lisa I knew my dogs were safe and loved. Thank you, Lisa!! E.H. Observatory Heights
Lisa was absolutely wonderful. We booked Lisa for a two night house sitting, and she took terrific care of our senior dog. Lisa is an absolute professional and we will definitely be a return customer.

Lisa took the very best of care with Bella, who had just arrived in the U.S.A from London. Bella is shy and Lisa took the time to get to know her, build up her trust, and soon Bella was greeting her like an old friend every time she arrived. I couldn't have asked for more.
I can't say enough good things about Lisa. She takes such great care of my dog on a daily basis while I am at work and genuinely cares about his well-being. She takes him for fun long walks or to the dog park, gives him special attention, and makes sure to refill his water bowl before leaving. She always gives me a thorough update of everything they did when she visited and any behaviors she's noticing. I highly recommend her if you're looking for someone to take great care of your dog. --AW Glover Park
